CarDoor has recently announced that their platform will now incorporate PAVE, the automated vehicle inspection platform, to provide condition transparency for consumer at-home vehicle sales and trade-ins. Toronto-based PAVE streamlines this process for CarDoor by using consumer generated photos of vehicles to return accurate condition-adjusted trade-in and sale values.
“We chose PAVE over other solutions because of the seamless user experience,” said Matt McKenzie, founder and CEO of CarDoor. “PAVE provides our customers with detailed yet simple-to-follow instructions so that they can capture consistent, inspection-ready images, with no app to download and no images to upload in the process.”
PAVE was designed to “remove friction” from the car-buying and selling experience through their digital inspection technology, used directly by the consumer. Within minutes of the consumer taking photos, CarDoor receives a graded vehicle inspection report, which provides transparency of the vehicle’s condition regardless of where the vehicle is located. PAVE enables CarDoor to effectively price and purchase potential trade-ins and vehicle sales without the consumer having to leave their home.
“The simplicity of consumers using our PAVE inspection platform aligns with CarDoor’s innovation in the market and their focus on customer experience,” said Brian Steinhauser, co-founder and co-CEO of PAVE. “With PAVE, CarDoor can easily analyze the vehicle condition while delivering an exceptional experience for their customers.”
Going forward, every CarDoor trade-in or consumer sale experience will begin with PAVE. By simply following a guided image capture process on a smartphone, CarDoor customers take photos of their vehicle, which PAVE analyzes to generate detailed and accurate condition reports. The combination of PAVE’s artificial intelligence and proprietary inspection platform, bolstered by inspections experts, gives CarDoor full confidence in the PAVE vehicle condition report.
