With this issue, we welcome David Adams as a regular columnist in Canadian auto dealer.
David C. Adams is a 23 year veteran of the automotive industry in Canada. Currently the President of the Association of International Automobile Manufacturers of Canada (AIAMC), David has held this positon for almost six years. The association currently has 16 member companies and effectively represents the interests of all vehicle manufacturers and distributors in Canada with the exception of the Detroit-based automakers.
Prior to working with the AIAMC, David spent close to eighteen years working for the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers Association (CVMA), which represents the Detroit-based automakers and Navistar. While at the CVMA, David participated in the creation of the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan (CAMVAP), and the National Automobile Dealer Arbitration Program (NADAP) and he is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors for CAMVAP while also serving as a director of the Yves Landry Foundation, the Canadian Automotive Institute, and the Canadian Automotive Repair and Service Council (CARS).
