FLO sold its 100,000th electric vehicle charging station, a Home X5, reaching an important milestone for the North American operator.
The growth of its business is being driven by an increasing demand for EVs and a goal to add more reliable EV charging infrastructure across North America, the company said in a news release.
“This is a significant milestone, and I am incredibly proud of the entire FLO team. I eagerly look forward to the sale of our next 100,000 chargers and to continue providing the best charging experience to all EV drivers,” said Louis Tremblay, FLO President and CEO, in a statement.
The 100,000th charger will be installed in Toronto by Ridgeline Electric. According to FLO, its home chargers are 100 per cent aluminum and can last well in harsh weather and difficult climates (such as wintery environments).
The company has also expanded its supply chain and production capabilities; it opened a facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan, to help reach its goal of bringing 250,000 chargers to the United States by 2028. The facility will produce the first line of its Ultra charger starting in early 2024.
“Expanding access is crucial, but nothing is more important than high reliability when it comes to EV charging,” said Tremblay in a statement, later adding that “it is not just about adding dots on a map, but a promise that drivers will be able to charge and go wherever they want.”
