Five of The Dilawri Group’s 76 dealerships have swept the inaugural J.D. Power Dealer of Excellence Program, recognized for their efficient, transparent and customer-friendly sales experience.
The five dealerships (along with their General Managers) are: Markham Honda (Gavin Zeng), 401 Dixie Mazda (Tahir Baig), Acura of North Toronto (Craig Nazare), Volkswagen de Sources (Tasso Velonas) and Audi Queensway (Chris Lang).
“At Dilawri, we are proud to be the first Canadian automotive group to have been recognized by J.D. Power’s Dealer of Excellence Program,” said Dilawri Co-founder Kap Dilawri on the company’s Facebook Page. “Five of our dealerships have achieved this distinction, which was based on a thorough review of our entire sales process, as well as verification of our organizational dedication to transparency and providing a top customer experience.
“In the years to come, we look forward to building on this achievement and continuing our commitment to the people and communities we serve.” The Dealer of Excellence Program has been operational in the United States since 2016. Baig said his dealership was honored by the award.
“On behalf of 401 Dixie Mazda, we are proud to be a part of Dilawri Group of Companies,” said Baig. “We, as a group, are committed to providing the best customer experience and transparency to the communities we serve. We thank our National and Regional Dilawri Teams for their continued support.”
The program is designed to recognize the best franchised dealerships.
“Vehicle buyers in Canada now have access to an incredible tool in their car search, giving them peace of mind that the dealer they’ve chosen will take care of them,” said J.D. Ney, automotive practice lead at J.D. Power Canada, in a media release. “Certified dealers will benefit by leveraging the J.D. Power brand and promoting their dealership’s commitment to an outstanding customer experience.”
Interested dealerships must rank among their brand’s top performers in key customer satisfaction areas as determined by J.D. Power. Qualifying dealers must pass an in-dealership sales process verification and show they meet or exceed J.D. Power sales best practices.
