Reynolds and Reynolds recently announced the acquisition of Xzilon, a California-based company known for its vehicle protection and appearance protection products.
The acquisition targets dealership F&I departments as Xzilon products, including its Carbon Ceramic with Graphene and Diamond Grade 9H Ceramic System, may prove useful to a number of dealership customers.
“The company has a legacy of being a leader in its space and continues to develop industry-first products and programs that benefit dealerships and their customers today,” said Chris Walsh, President of Reynolds, in a statement.
Xzilon recently developed a product called the TouchScreen+ Glass Modifier program. Reynolds and Reynolds described the program as a warrantied liquid touchscreen protection product — useful for electric vehicles, and vehicles that feature more screens than buttons.
“Through programs like this, consumers can increase the resale value of their vehicles while decreasing maintenance costs with products that are backed by nationwide warranty protection,” said Reynolds and Reynold in its news release. They later added that: “The acquisition highlights Reynolds’ ability to help dealerships retail to their customers where they want to shop.”
Xzilon President Kevin Kahmann will continue in his current role. The company’s current staff will also remain in place.
