Dustin Woods, previously the associate editor of AutoTrader.ca, now steps into the role of Public Relations Manager at Genesis Motors Canada.
The company announced the appointment in late March, noting that Woods will manage all communications with Canadian media (print, online and other broadcast outlets), in addition to overseeing the management of media events and the national media fleet.
“I’m incredibly excited to join the Genesis Canada team,” said Woods in a company news release. “I’m looking forward to supporting Genesis distributors across Canada by collaborating with the talented corporate team, continuing to share the extremely strong product and technology story with Canadian media.”
In his previous role at Trader Corporation, Woods was also the managing editor of Canada Moto Guide. Prior to that, he worked as the Director of Public Relations at Co-Op Advertising (rebranded as Labour) where he helped develop and execute Trader’s media relations strategy.
“We’re very pleased to have Dustin join the ranks of Genesis Canada,” said Lawrence Hamilton, Executive Director at Genesis. “He has a comprehensive skill set and a wealth of expertise in the automotive landscape that will serve us well as the brand moves to expand in the Canadian luxury market.”
Woods will be responsible for launching the new Genesis GV60 and Electrified G80 this Spring with Canadian media.
