The Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS) is set to take place at the Palais des congrès from January 19-28 on all three levels and will include the addition of two OEMs not seen last year: Ford and Lincoln Canada.
The COVID and post-COVID atmosphere was not kind to many such events, which resulted in a number of OEMs pulling their participation from auto shows, or simply not offering it. Most, if not all events, are back on track this year.
“We are delighted to announce today the return of Ford and Lincoln to the 2024 Montreal Auto Show and we thank them for their confidence in our organization,” said Luis Pereira, Executive Director of MIAS, in a statement. “The absence of Ford and Lincoln in the last MIAS had been noticed by both visitors and the media, underscoring the significance of their return this year.”
The news follows an announcement by the MIAS in early August that they will be launching a public survey as part of their “strategic reflection” on the future of their auto show event. This includes surveys of the general public and dealers in the Montréal, Que., area, with the results expected by the 2025 edition.
