Automotive startups coming to Canada without a service infrastructure are starting to forge relationships with aftermarket providers to offer a broader service experience for their customers.
One such example is VinFast; the company announced this week that it has selected Certified Collision Care as a strategic partner to manage the VinFast Certified Collision Repair Program in Canada. The move is part of the company’s next steps towards establishing a service infrastructure in the country.
“The partnership with Certified Collision Care will help VinFast to expand our repair centre network across Canada, thereby reinforcing VinFast’s commitment to providing outstanding after-sale services to customers,” said Nguyen Thi Van Anh, CEO of VinFast North America, in a statement.
Doing so, she added, will also help “raise the industry’s technical capability and business operating standards, especially for electric vehicle repair providers in the network.”
As part of the team-up, Certified Collision Care will identify and certify repair centres in their network, which is considered one of the largest in Canada. The repair facility is a division of OEC. It also administers the Canadian OEM Collision Certification programs for several international OEMs.
“Adding VinFast Certified credentials to the Certified Collision Repair Network provides electric vehicle-ready collision repairers with an effective means to differentiate themselves in their market,” said Leanne Jefferies, Director of Operations and Accounts, CRN North America, OEC, in a statement.
VinFast continues to expand its retail and service network in Canada’s metropolitan markets. It is collaborating with several partners to move its North American plans forward.
